And now it has a the Multnomah Whiskey Library, a club serving over 1,000 whiskeys. Become a member so you can sip yours in one of those fancy leather chairs a good whiskey is meant to be served in.

Travel.
As much as you can.
As far as you can.
As long as you can.

This ought to cool you down on a hot summer day.

"Some of these places I go to feel like a photographic purgatory," says Chris Burkard.

Sounds miserable (to us). Looks magnificent. Arctic surfing. Do they really make wet suits for that? Brrr!

We saw this photo on-line. It just grabbed our attention. It was the angle, the colors, the light.
And we thought, hmmm, could it be Hong Kong?
The answer was yes, and then we found more. Click the link.

Creating Something Out of Nothing

Beautiful paper art by Japanese artist Katsumi Hayakawa may be examining the impact of architectural density, which is fascinating. But the craft and beauty of his projects are what caught our eye.

This gallery captures it beautifully.

We're In The Money...

OK, not really. We’re not even close to the funds required for these meals. But we do like to dream about it!

Rude Places

Juvenile? Yes.

A little funny? Yes.

From Hooker to Spread Eagle, there are enough not so politely named places on our planet to keep you giggling like a school-girl for hours. Start clicking the interactive map and prepare to chuckle.

Who knew? Probably the people living in some of these places!

What’s glamping you ask?
Luxury camping experiences of course, and Shelter Co. will pitch a luxury tent wherever you go. Saving you from pitching a fit trying to figure it all out.

7 Steps to Becoming a Better Traveler

There is some wonderful advice here from National Geographic about being a more responsible traveler. We love the idea of only leaving our footprints (and some wonderful cultural exchanges) behind.

Disconnect

Being disconnected when you travel can be a beautiful thing. But sometimes, you could really use one of your favorite travel Apps.

We love these lists for working off-line. What are your faves?

Just in time for the weekend… grab your wine belt, wrap it around your bike’s waist, er, center bar, and hit the road.
We found ours on sale! on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/77075622/sale-wine-bottle-belts?ref=related-0

There’s traveling and then there is taking yourself there.

Could you live aboard a 28-foot wooden sailboat, calling it home and letting it take you from place to place. It must be incredibly rewarding… but could you do it?

Whether it’s for you or not - the views are always stunning.

"Travel.
As much as you can.
As far as you can.
As long as you can.
Life’s not meant to be lived in one place."

About:

I am Shellie Cohen, a luxe nomad roaming from place to place seeking culturally rich and authentic experiences. Typically, following the path less traveled gives way to the most memorable journeys. Just as often, the path of least resistance is equally rewarding. Luxuries can come in the smallest packages: An exquisite boutique curated ‘just so’. A personal touch in what becomes a favorite hotel. Or perhaps the best cocktail - ever.

Wherever I am (and I’ve been to 56 countries), I seek out hidden gems to make each destination feel authentic, luxurious, and inspiring to easily find myself at home.
